Ramadan Fasting Starts

Ramadan fasting is expected to start on either February 28 or March 1, 2025, depending on the sighting of the crescent moon ¹. In 2025, Ramadan will last for 29 or 30 days, ending around March 30 ¹.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, abstaining from food and drink. The predawn meal is called *Suhur*, while the nightly feast that breaks the fast is called *Iftar* ². Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is considered a time for spiritual reflection, prayer, and community ³.

Keep in mind that the exact start date may vary depending on your location and the moon sighting.
